Motorpsycho (NOR) - Motorpsycho

This was my first experience with Motorpsycho. They played too long, so the following band Turbonegro couldn´t perform "Denim Demon".

The last time I heard this kind of music on stage was Hawkwind in 1987  and since that, I´m fan of that band with no boundaries.

Motorpsycho are back as Motorpsycho.

Expansive, spartan, experimental, genre-bending, innovative, spanning musical decades. I can't imagine how this album would be performed live, given the sheer number of facets this Norwegian institution presents in terms of progressive and retrospective music.

While I acknowledge the band's musical talent and allusions, the abundance of musical impressions also becomes a bit boring. It's similar to King Gizzard and similar bands, who produce a kind of Thermomix music that, despite all the great ingredients, results in a monotonous, gray, and unstructured mess. I find it interesting for 15 minutes on stage, but after that, I'll probably just take it all in at the bar.
