There are still a lot of people who haven´t heard of Monkey3. When they ask me what kind of music they play, I always answer: "A more heavy and instrumental version of Pink Floyd". The latest prove that the Swiss band keeps on approaching to the Floyds is the title of their latest album "Welcome to the Machine", which will be released on February, 23rd, 2024. Despite all the common epic in their songs, Monkey3 always have several jokers in their sleeves, which first appears like "What is...

I wrote about all their albums, I wrote with Matsch but until now, I never managed to see them live on stage. Nevertheless, their latest album is another small masterpiece out of Reutlingen. Check the review.
I saw them in 2022 on 17 years of SOL and it was like a buffet with a lot styles which didn´t fit together. "Flowers of Death" is way more homogeneous and an organic whole.

I had a band called damage done between 1997 and 2002. We founded the band as friends. I left the band in 2002 because I wanted to play live and fulfill my musical dream to do some Motörhead influenced hardcore. I took a bass, plugged it in, took a look to my band and then we played for hours in one flow. That´s what happened with Dozer after their around ten year long hiatus.
