Wir möchten uns an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich für die Einladung für dieses Kleinod an Festival bedanken. Die Organisation trotzte dem Wetter, sie war flexibel genug, als auf der A5 ein Unfall passierte und Destruction in Zeitnot kamen, sie organisierte Traktoren, um die Zuschauer aus den nassen und schlammigen Wiesen abzuschleppen. Our beloved Backstage presented during one evening two different ways to receive ringing ears. Either you only listen to death metal in the hall, or you only listen to thrash metal in the club, or you listen to both for 5 hours. We decided to do both, which was possible by purchasing a combination ticket. Both venues were well filled, the average age in the hall was between 45 and 55 years old, and in the club it was around 30 years old, because two generations of metalheads were at the concert.

The Dutchmen presented high-speed technical Thrash-Metal which I heard for the first time. Everything was perfect: the sound, the lights, the ai-created animation and visualization of their music. Their music was more the intellectual approach to music than the urge to play music to stay alive like in the 80´s. Three artists at work and a band worth to see.

Social Media made it possible to discover this festival. I follow Asphyx due their unforgettable performance at the Hellfest 2013 and Destruction and ze German Melodic Death Metal Band Parasite Inc., which we booked 2015 for a gig together with Cripper and Loudblast in our beloved Backstage in Munich. Full blown Metalcore and Thrash Metal, created by youngsters and monsters. We wanted to see Lost Society after nine years, as the played old school Thrash Metal on Hellfest´s Mainstage and a couple of months later as a support for Destruction. And, of course, Vended, Slipknot light, from Des Moines, Iowa.
