After entering the red rock territory, we will stop at the Traba viewpoint, at milepost 72.2, to observe them. In front of us is the Permian red series, with its alternating sandstones and shales, and at the top, a thick layer of conglomerates corresponding to the base of the Triassic, which protects the underlying rocks from erosion. These conglomerates mark the boundary between the Paleozoic rocks below and the upper rocks of the Secondary Era.
